 The access road to Malgas turns (coming from Cape Town) just before Swellendam off the N2. The road is untarred, however, manageable for any normal car.
Accommodation is limited in Malgas, however, those places available are beautifully situated by the river. Some have boats to hire out or even to lend free of cost. Malgas is still a well-kept secret!
It's a lovely experience to cross the river to the northern bank on the pontoon ferry and to carry on from there towards to Witsand on the Breede River Mouth.
