 Wuppertal
Try visiting the old Rhenish Mission Station of Wuppertal, which dates back to 1834. It is an attractive little oasis in the very heart of the rugged wilderness of the Cedarberg and the Tatra Mountains. The village is famous for its little shoe factory producing the famous hand-made "Veld Skoene". Access from Clanwilliam via the Pakhuis Pass. The road is quite rough, but if you drive slowly it's accessible with a normal car.

Clanwilliam Dam
The beautiful dam of the Olifants River in Clanwilliam is a popular watersports site. Directly at the dam you will find a resort with chalets and a campground managed by the municipality of Clanwilliam. Unfortunately, the resort is quite noisy, due to the motor boat activities on the lake, especially during weekends and public holidays. Tel 027-4822133.
Ramskop Nature Reserve
The town maintains a little Nature Reserve above the Dam Resort, where you can enjoy the flora of the Cedarberg region on a relaxing walk. The big annual Wildflower Show takes place in the NG Kerk in Main Street. It starts on the last Friday in August and is open for ten days.
 Clanwilliam Museum
In the "Ou Tronk", the old prison at the end of the Main Road, is a fascinating Museum with old Voortrekker wagons and many other artefacts from the time of the pioneers. The history of Clanwilliam and of the Rooibos Tea production is also documented here. The museum is open only on weekdays from 8 to 12. Tel 027-4822024.
Rooibos Tea Company
The Rooibos Tea Company in Clanwilliam is open for visitors. They offer an interesting video and a sample of their tea.Tel 027-4822155. If you'd like to see a teaproducing farm, you can visit the farm Elandsberg on the road to lambert's Bay near Graafwater. Here you can see how the tea is cultivated, harvested and fermented.
