Quivertree Forest
Best time to take photos of the famous Quiver trees on the Farm Gariganus is at sunset. The farm lies some 13 kms north-east of Keetmanshoop and the untarred access is well sign-posted. The so-called "Giants' Playground" lies next to the Quivertree Forest. A walking trail of half an hour leads through the rocky terrain. Not a must!

Accommodation on the farm is offered mainly in plastic igloos, not very comfortable and quite stuffy. A campground is also available, clean but very simple. The accommodation and dining options in Keetmanshoop town are much nicer.
