Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula as well as the Winelands of the Cape with its centres Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl belong to the most popular travel destinations in Southern Africa.

This results in numerous accommodation venues in the region. Most of the hotels, guest houses and B+Bs are situated at the Atlantic seaboard south of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront between Sea Point, Camps Bay and Hout Bay on the Cape Peninsula. However, there is no accommodation available in the southern part of the Peninsula (south of Simon's Town) which is a nature reserve only.

Those wanting to reside out of town, can find excellent lodges and guest houses in the rural and tranquil environment of the Cape Winelands, particularly in Stellenbosch and Paarl, both very peaceful towns, yet close to the City.
