Visitor information
|
The Etosha National Park is open all year round, daily from sunrise to sunset. Before dark the visitor must have reached one of the restcamps or have left the park. While planning your trip, please keep in mind that there is a speed limit of 60 km/h in the whole park. The roads in the park are not tarred, but usually in very good condition, and pretty dusty, though. A 4x4 vehicle is not necessary to travel the park.|

The Etosha National Park disposes of 3 restcamps. The biggest camp - about 120 kilometres north of Outjo - is situated at the south-western border of the Etosha salt pan. Its name is Okaukuejo. Here is also the main entrance to the Etosha Park and the administration of the park. In the east lies the camp Namutoni, close to the other entrance to the park. Between these two camps lies a smaller one, Halali (no entrance), about 70 kilometres away from each of the other two.|
