Access Coming from the south on the N2, turn right 10 km north of Mkhuze in the direction of Jozini. After 61 km keep to the left. The last 13 km are very bad gravel or sand road. But a 4x4 is not required. One can also approach Ndumo from the east past Pelindaba. All roads have deep potholes (with measurements in the range of diametre 50 cm, depth 30 cm, for a rough idea). Opening Hours The entrance gate is open in summer (October to March) from 5 am to 7 pm and in winter (April to September) from 6 am to 6 pm. Tel: (035) 5910058, Fax: (035) 5910058. Ndumo Rest Camp The rest camp lies in 6 km distance from the gate in the eastern part of the park. It offers 7 chalets in a beautiful, shady position, each for 2 persons. They have a verandah, air-conditioning, fridge and a washbasin. Also available are 8 shady campsites for up to 6 persons. Each site has a coldwater tap and a barbeque. Toilets and kitchen are communal. A little grocery store for basic provisions belongs to the camp. |
