Old Court House MuseumThis building in Aliwal Street (corner of Smith Street) is a National Monument, built in the year 1866 as the seat of the high court. | Kwa Muhle Museum The museum lies in Ordnance Road and is highly recommendable. It documents the history of racial segragation and the suppression of the black population during the Apartheid era. Open: Mo - Fr 8:30 to 16:00. No entrance fee. Tel (031) 3112223. Old FortThe Old Fort - situated a bit off the centre in Old Fort Road - is a National Monument. It is surrounded by a park.
