Travel Tips

How to get there
The Augrabies Falls National Park is situated 120 kms west of Upington and 40 kms north-west of Kakamas. The access road is tarred. The roads within the park are gravel.

Activities
There are several attractve hiking trails in the Augrabies Park to Arrow Point (1 hour), to the Potholes (1 hour) and to the Moon Rock (1 hour). The Klipspringer Hiking Trail lasts 3 days and 2 nights and must be pre-booked. Maximum 12 participants per group. Not from October to March (too hot).

Accommodation
There are nice chalets available in the Augrabies Falls National Park. One can choose between 4-bed cottages with 2 bedrooms, bath, kitchen and aircon or 3-bed bungalows with 1 bedroom, bath, kitchen and aircon. There is also a camping ground with shady sites and power.
