The beaches have fine sand and are wide and almost deserted. Particularly stunning is the northern beach with its rock pools, where you can watch at low tide many little fishes, crabs and even octopusses. There is good and safe swimming in the rivers. Kenton is a paradise for fishermen. And it attracts a great variety of seabirds.

Kenton has a mild climate throughout the year. The summers are warm and in winter the day temperatures hardly ever sink below 20 C degrees.
