Mowbray Golf Club lies between the suburbs Mowbray and Pinelands, only 10 minutes from Cape Town city centre. Take the N2 to the airport. Exit "Pinelands" and then keep right. |

Mowbray Golf Club
 Mowbray Golf Club was founded in 1910 and belongs to the eldest golf courses in South Africa. In 1993, the course was modernised. In the same year, tragically, the clubhouse burnt down. It was replaced by a - very beautiful and generously built - new one in 1995.The Mowbray Golf Course has several times hosted the South African Open championships. The terrain is quite flat with the exception of hole 15 which has a hilly fairway. Particularly challenging on this course are the side winds. While on most of the courses in the Cape one either plays with or against the wind, in Mowbray it usually comes from the side.  |
