Access: From Cape Town one drives to Hermanus on the R44 / R43 along False Bay. Or one stay on the N2 and turns right at Botrivier. The club lies in the centre of Hermanus and is sign-posted.

The Hermanus Golf Club lies in the centre of the "Whale Capital" on the Overberg coast. The course is not too difficult and beginners can also negotiate it. The terrain is plain. The well maintained fairways are lined by trees and covered with bent grass.

Interesting is hole 6 with its narrow fairway with a sluit and out-of-bounds on the right and trees on the left side. The green is guarded by a water feature on the right side.



From July to December each year the whales add a great attraction to the course. During this time it is particularly popular. Its members are very hospitable and welcoming with guests.
