 The Rondavel lies on a ranch about 20 km from Vryburg on the N 14 between Johannesburg and Vryburg in a peaceful rural area. Vryburg was founded in the middle of the 19th century and soon became the agricultural centre of the region. It is also called "Texas of South Africa" because of the enormous cattle herds in the area and the weekly cattle auctions which are the biggest in the southern hemisphere, where each year about 250,000 cattle are sold.The rondavel is equipped with all modern amenities, a kitchenette, four beds and a bath with shower and toilet. Four persons can live here comfortably. From the rondavel you have a wide view across the land and can watch the sun rise early. Enjoy your breakfast outside and watch how nature awakes. 170 heads of cattle, goats and 6 horses live on the ranch. You can explore the surroundings on horseback. Breakfast is included in the price. On request lunch and/or dinner is served as well. A barbecue is there for you to use. The ranch also offers a place where you can swim. We offer guided tours on horseback or by car. One you can, for example, visit a lion farm or the Leon Taljaard Nature Reserve. B&B costs 220 Rand per person. Prices for airport transfers, outings, lunch and dinner are available on request. |
