Nyala Safari Lodge -Hoedspruit / Limpopo

Nyala Safari Lodge is a place where time seems to stop. Nestled deep in the heart of the African bush in a private Big 5 game reserve situated some 15km from the town of Hoedspruit in the Limpopo province in South Africa, Nyala offers a safari experience with a difference.

Game drives and guided walks with fully-qualified, highly experienced guides offer guests the opportunity to learn about the wildlife, culture and history of the 5000 hectare reserve as well as the chance to witness the fabled "Big 5": lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard.

Five thatched en suite Rondavels combined with the sheer intimate beauty of the lodge in its tranquil surroundings create the perfect setting for world-weary visitors. Guests are immersed in a true African environment as they savour mouth-watering South African cuisine and experience genuine hospitality from dedicated and caring staff.

A shady Weeping Boer-bean tree and a host of other riverside greenery creates the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. Whilst the lodge is surrounded by a secure fence to ensure the safety of our guests, there is still the opportunity for smaller wildlife such as monkeys, antelope and a variety of birds to frequent the lodge. One of our best features is a prominent waterhole, carefully positioned in front of the lodge and permanently floodlit. The viewing deck is situated under shady trees and hours in between activities can be spentĀ at leisure observing animals visiting the waterhole.

Personalised and moderately priced, the experience of Nyala will be etched in your memory forever."

Rates per night: R1450 per person rack rate and R725 for children under 12.
