Misty Mountain is a 280 hectare SA Natural Heritage Site situated on the spectacular Long Tom Pass (between Sabie and Lydenburg), Mpumalanga. Perched at 1650m above sea level in a malaria free area, Misty Mountain is uniquely set in mountainous countryside with majestic views across the escarpment and into the lowveld. It is an ideal base from which to explore the Mpumalanga escarpment and the Kruger Park.

Accommodation: 27 chalets offering comfortable, country style accommodation for couples and families, with easy access to the restaurant and all facilities. All chalets have open fireplaces, private verandahs, tea/coffee facilities, fridge and stove. 3-Star graded by TGCSA and AA Highly Recommended.
 
Dining: Informal and relaxed restaurant, specialised in popular, country cooking. Our dishes are all freshly prepared to order. Extensive a la carte menu, including a children’s menu and a wide and varied wine list.

Outdoor Activities: Trout fishing in dams and weirs (equipment for hire). Guided quad biking excursions. Walking - 15 kms of marked and mapped trails. Mountain biking - trails with differing degrees of difficulty, bikes and safety equipment for hire. Birding - see South Africa's most endangered bird (the Blue Swallow) and many others.
