Altes Landhaus Country Lodge is a stately Cape Dutch style homestead, cradled in the fertile Schoemanshoek valley. Lovingly furnished with tasteful Victorian antiques. Altes Landhaus combines historic charm and a tranquil African country atmosphere to offer splendid accommodation in country comfort.

Altes Landhaus offers a choice of seven spacious suites and three deluxe double rooms. All rooms feature en-suite bathrooms and a range of modern conveniences, including TV, air conditioning (heating and cooling), ceiling fans, safes and telephone.

A generous farm or continental breakfast, enjoyed on the outdoor patio, begins the day's pleasures at Altes Landhaus. A la carte dinner menu is available and includes the finest local specialities: ostrich meat, fresh fish, succulent Karoo lamb, or fresh farm chicken. Vegetarian meals will be served on request.

The magnificent gardens boast a plush expanse of well-tended lawns, an abundance of red and white roses and lilac Jacaranda blossoms. A solar-heated salt-water swimming pool with a pool bar is tucked away in a tranquil corner of the garden.
